Fraternities and sororities require all members to place a strong emphasis on scholastic performance and maintain specified grade requirements. TCU fraternities and sororities offer scholarships, national honor societies, time-management workshops, tutoring programs, required study sessions, academic incentives, awards, and scholarship banquets.
Nationally, the all-Greek GPA consistently matches or surpasses the all-undergraduate GPA. Fraternity and sorority members are more likely to graduate than non-members. National Greek Academic Honoraries at TCU include Order of Omega and Gamma Sigma Alpha.
In maintaining scholastic excellence most TCU Panhellenic sororities require a minimum GPA to be considered for membership. Chapter academic standards are higher than TCU’s and may require a 3.0 of incoming freshman and a 2.75 GPA for incoming transfer students interested in going through recruitment.
In 2005, there were over four hundred 4.0s in the Greek community. Our organizations continue to support their members and try to help them achieve academically through the mentoring programs and study hours.
